Where? – Bucharest Romania
Why? – The Institute proudly presents the third edition of Romanian Design Week, the biggest design dedicated event in Romania.
This year, the host of the Main Exhibition is Hanul Gabroveni, recently renovated by ARCUB. Hanul Gabroveni is both an important creative hub, as well as a love statement for the history of Bucharest. Streets that were once renown for their commercial activities are now becoming landmarks and the address of a cultural space, having the advantage of being at the crossroads between stories and confessions. If the previous editions were focusing on mapping Romanian design, the 2015 edition will be focusing on Romanian Designˈs evolution and maturity, underlining the connections and the collaborations formed, as a natural consequence of the dialogue, values and common goals that many of the designers share. This year the main exhibition will include over 150 projects of 130 designers and design and architecture studios.
